Maurice J. Thomas Jr. passed away at the age of 96. Born the 17th of June 1928, he was 1 of 7 boys and 7 girls, to Maurice J. Thomas Sr. and Mary Louise Pritchett Thomas. He is survived by 7 daughters: Doris J. Dagman, Brenda D. Thomas Wharton, Peggy L. Thomas, Debbie C. Fitzgerald, Kay Thomas, Lola J. Spencer, and Sandra G. Lo’Presto. He served in the United States Army in World War II and has been a member of the VFW of Charlottesville, Va. for over 65 plus years.

He had a family of many loving children: 24 Grandchildren; numerous Great-Grandchildren and 21 Great-Great-Grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
