BUCKINGHAM COUNTY, VA (CVILLE RIGHT NOW) — A man is under arrest for a Monday afternoon shooting in Buckingham County that left a man critically wounded. Deputies were dispatched to the 2300 block of Pattie Road at 12:56 p.m. following a report of a shooting. Upon arrival, they found a man with a gunshot wound to the head seated in a truck that had crashed into the woods. Scott Randall, 45, of Dillwyn was taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries. Deputies have arrested 41-year-old Vincent Rose.

According to court records, Rose has been charged with aggravated malicious wounding, maliciously shooting into a vehicle, use of a firearm in the commission of a felony, and being a nonviolent felon in possession of a firearm. The incident is still under investigation, and anyone with information is asked to contact the Buckingham County Sheriff’s Office at (434) 969-1772.
