LOUISA COUNTY, VA (CVILLE RIGHT NOW) – Bailey Michael Hobbs, a former part-time seasonal worker with Louisa County Public Schools, has been charged with four counts of sexual abuse of animals.
On April 14, 2025, as part of an ongoing investigation, the Louisa County Sheriff’s Office executed a search warrant at a residence located in the 100 block of Ellis Drive. During the execution of the warrant, several electronic devices belonging to Hobbs were seized for forensic examination.
Upon reviewing the contents of one of the devices, investigators discovered illegal images. As a result of these findings, detectives and deputies with the Louisa County Sheriff’s Office arrested Bailey Hobbs without incident on April 22, 2025. He has been charged with four counts of sexual abuse of animals (§ 18.2-361).
The sheriff’s office emphasized that none of the materials seized in its raid of the Blue Ridge Shores residence included any child pornography.
The Louisa County Sheriff’s Office emphasizes that there is no evidence indicating the presence of child sexual abuse material, inappropriate conduct involving a child, or any inappropriate images of a child.
