CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA. (CVILLE RIGHT NOW) — Sen. Creigh Deeds, Del. Katrina Callsen and Del. Amy Laufer will be hearing directly from constituents at a Virtual Town Hall this Sunday from 2-3:30 p.m.
“It’s an opportunity to talk about what’s been going on in the General Assembly,” Laufer told WINA Morning News.
The mid-session town hall will provide constituents an opportunity to answers questions on issues and legislation currently being considered by the General Assembly, including the grant proposal for Albemarle County and the Rivanna Futures project, which Laufer said has moved through the House and Senate.
“That is in the budget,” she said of the grants. “Very excited about that opportunity for Astra Zeneca to be coming into Albemarle County.”
The event will also give the three legislators a chance to talk with each other, as Laufer said things are often too “frantic” for them to meet and talk. Even Callsen and Laufer have trouble meeting due to serving on separate committees.
“They’re working really hard,” Laufer said of her two colleagues.
The link to register for the Town Hall is available on Deeds’ social media accounts.
