Fluvanna, VA (CVILLE RIGHT NOW) – This Friday, October 18th, Cunningham Creek Winery in Fluvanna County will host the Help for Helene benefit concert, organized by Trey Mitchell and Karen McIntyre. The event aims to raise funds for victims of recent natural disasters in the Asheville area.

The concert, which kicks off at 5:30 p.m., will feature a variety of musical acts, ranging from classic rock cover bands to bluegrass and singer-songwriter performances. According to Mitchell, “We’ve got two different stages with five different bands that are preforming… a whole mix of different types of music from classic rock cover bands, bluegrass, old time, singer-songwriter stuff, all kinds of really great music, food trucks, everything.”

McIntyre, who helped spearhead the idea, expressed the personal motivation behind the event: “One musician in particular is a daughter to a longtime friend of mine… She got back to Asheville and could not get to her house. Bridges were down, roads were gone.” She stated.

Proceeds from the event will benefit the United Way of Asheville and Buncombe County, with contributions also coming from Cunningham Creek Winery and the food trucks. The concert is open to the public, with no tickets required.
