Linda Faye Vaughan Pritchett, age 69, passed away peacefully on September 9, 2024 surrounded by her family. She was born on October 4, 1954 in Charlottesville, Virginia to the late Aubrey Vaughan and Marion Dorrier Vaughan. She is survived by her husband of 48 years David Pritchett, children Lauren (and Stephen) Merica, Brandon (and Stephanie) Pritchett, sister Gail (and Wayne) Huskey, grandchildren Liam and Savannah Merica and Brianna, Skylar and Ava Pritchett.
Linda was an employee at Centel for 10 years but found her calling when she began to work for Charlottesville Public Schools. She had many “adopted children” during her time at Walker, Buford Middle and Charlottesville High.
She was a lifelong member of Immanuel Lutheran Church and loved working in her flower beds, crafting and especially spending time with her grandchildren. Her favorite time of the year was Christmas, planning months in advance for all the decorations, food, special desserts to bake and donations she would make to the Toy Lift and Angel Tree. Linda was always thinking of others.
