Lee Roy Barbour , 68 of Crozet passed away surrounded by his family on Wednesday, June 5, 2024.

He was born March 26, 1956, in Albemarle, County, the son of Arther Barbour and Mary Haskins-Barbour, who preceded him in death.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his three sons, Lee Roy Barbour Jr, Dominic Lee Barbour and Johnathan Sherman Barbour; and three daughters, Mary Elizabeth Barbour, Jill Renee Barbour and Calista Shay Barbour. His daughter, Heather Barbour, also preceded him in death.

Lee Roy Barbour also survived by his five brothers; Arthur Barbour Jr, David Barbour, Winkfield Barbour, Woodrow Barbour and Robert Barbour. Two brothers, Albert Steppe and Joe White; and two sisters, Susie Barbour and Betty Barbour (Lee Roy), went home to God before him.
Brother Lee Roy has twenty-four grandchildren.

Brother Lee Roy Barbour was a member of New Beginnings Christian Church for fifteen years. He worked for University of Virginia Buildings and Grounds. He was also known to work on cars in his spare time. His favorite sayings were “Don’t start nothin won’t be nothing;” if you can’t stand the heat get out the kitchen;” and “If the lord is willing.”
He loved to dance. He loved western shows. He loved to listen to the rain. He would usually cut the TV off and listen to the rain fall. He was really a simple man.
