Kenneth Alan Martin, 76, passed away on June 28th, 2024. He was born May 5, 1948 in the city of Charlottesville, Virginia, the son of John and Julia Martin, who preceded him in death. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his brother Alfred L. Martin.

Kenneth is survived by brothers John of Henrico County, Virginia, Donald of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and David of Ellicott City, Maryland and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and loving friends.

Kenneth graduated from Lane High School and Hampton University. After graduating from Hampton, Kenneth taught math in the Charlottesville public school system for 10 years. Later he pursued his passion for computers and became a programmer/network administrator. In that vein he also developed skills in photographic technology, in spite of significant decline in his vision. His other passion was his love for city, community, and neighborhood affairs. He was a member of numerous local commissions, task forces, and committees. He was not shy in voicing his opinions and views.
