CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA (CVILLE RIGHT NOW) – State Sen. John McGuire and Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.) arrived to find a rowdy crowd when the Virginia state senator, who hopes to unseat 5th District Congressman Bob Good (R-Va.), made a campaign stop outside the Albemarle County Office Building – 5th Street on Wednesday, June 5, 2024.

Protesters outnumbered rally attendees by roughly three to one, with McGuire and Greene’s off the campaign bus for only a few minutes.

McGuire has gained the endorsement of former President Donald Trump, which UVA political analyst Dr. Larry Sabato calls “serious trouble” for Good, who chairs the House Freedom Caucus.
