CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA (CVILLE RIGHT NOW) – An issue in suburban Richmond has the Ivy Solid Waste and Recycling Center transfer station closed Monday afternoon and all-day Tuesday. The Rivanna Solid Waste Authority announces the 1pm Monday closure of the Dick Woods Road facility transfer station and complete closure Tuesday because of a mechanical issue at the Henrico County landfill that receives the ISWRC trash. RWSA says they hope to reopen the transfer station to the public Wednesday.
All other services at ISWRC will remain open during this time, including vegetative and clean fill receipt and the Ivy Convenience/Recycling Center.
