Boys & Girls Club of Central Virginia

At the Boys & Girls Clubs of Central Virginia, the mission is simple but powerful: to enable all young people—especially those who need us most—to reach their full potential as productive, caring, responsible citizens. Every day after school and during the summer, the Club provides a safe, supportive environment where kids can learn, grow, and thrive. With a focus on youth development, academic support, mental wellness, and mentorship, the Boys and Girls Club plays a critical role in shaping the future of the Charlottesville and Albemarle County communities. More than just an after-school program, it’s a place where kids find guidance, build confidence, and dream big, no matter their background or circumstances.

“The mission of the Club is to enable all young people, especially those who need us most, to become productive, caring responsible citizens.”

How to Get Involved

The success of the Boys & Girls Clubs wouldn’t be possible without the support of generous individuals and community partners. Whether you’re looking to volunteer, donate, or become a corporate sponsor, there are countless ways to get involved and make a lasting impact.

  • Volunteer your time to help with homework, coach a team, or simply be a mentor.
  • Donate to help fund after-school programs, meals, and supplies.
  • Attend or sponsor events like the Youth of the Year celebration or annual fundraisers.
  • Share your skills—from tutoring to tech support, local professionals play a key role in inspiring the next generation.

Every act of support, no matter how small, helps ensure local kids have access to a brighter future.
