Charlottesville, VA (CVILLE RIGHT NOW) – Neil Williamson, Executive Director of the Free Enterprise Forum, joined the WINA Morning News to preview the upcoming Pancakes and Politics Legislative Breakfast. The event, scheduled for Monday, December 9, will bring together members of the Charlottesville Regional Chamber of Commerce, Blue Ridge Home Builders Association, and the Charlottesville Area Association of Realtors to discuss pressing legislative issues.
“It’s really an exciting time because, believe it or not, we’re already looking at the 2025 General Assembly session,” Williamson remarked. The event provides members a chance to hear directly from the legislative delegation about what can realistically be accomplished in this short session, particularly in an election year.
The breakfast, hosted at the Hillsdale Conference Center, will feature a moderated discussion with state Senator Creigh Deeds and Delegates Katrina Callsen and Amy Laufer. Williamson will facilitate audience questions, including critical topics like housing affordability. “Supply is limited because of a government-created scarcity,” Williamson noted, explaining how local zoning policies impact housing availability and affordability.
Attendees can expect a lively morning of policy dialogue, complete with pancakes, bacon, and insight into upcoming legislative priorities.
