ALBEMARLE COUNTY, VA (CVILLE RIGHT NOW) – Fire damaged a home in the 1000 block of Hunters Ridge Road on Thursday evening.

Reports of a fire came in at approximately 6:10 p.m. Career and volunteer units from Albemarle County Fire Rescue arrived approximately nine minutes later. They discovered smoke throughout the home’s first story and contained the blaze at approximately 6:23 p.m.

The fire was discovered by the homeowner upon returning home, followed by calling 911. No injuries were reported, and family and friends are assisting the displaced residents.

The Albemarle County Fire Marshal‘s Office has been able to determine that the fire was accidental.
