WASHINGTON, DC (CVILLE RIGHT NOW) – The less Congress does, the better off the nation is. That farewell to Congress message from Virginia’s 5th District Republican Congressman Bob Good who’s leaving after two terms… defeated in the Republican primary by now Congressman-elect John McGuire. Good said his ultimate desire, though, has been to please the Lord… being more concerned about offending Him but what he doesn’t say rather than offending others with what he does say.

He said he didn’t run for Congress to “bring the money back home”… or “promising to work across the aisle, to compromise, or find common ground” to — using air-quotes — “get things done”. Good said most of what’s done in Washington is bad, “certainly unconstitutional, unjustified, and often downright harmful, not to mention, we don’t have the money”.
