Fred was born October 20, 1942, in Fluvanna County, Va. to the late Samuel and Martha Richardson. He attended Fluvanna County High School (formerly S.C. Abrams High School).

Fred worked in Charlottesville, Va. 29 years for Ivy Industries; 12 years for the University of Virginia, and 12 years for Kane Furniture Company. He was a dedicated member of the Jehovah’s Witness Faith for many years.

Later in life, Fred married Barbara, who passed away July 15, 2023. He was also preceded in death by his siblings: Leona Frank, James, John, George, Frank, Allen, and Harold. He is survived by 3 sisters: Ethel Robinson of Fort Washington, Md., Gertrude Keasley of Willow Grove, Pa., and Barbara Murray of Charlottesville, Va., and a host of other family members and friends. Fred passed away peacefully at the Sentara Martha Jefferson Hospital in Charlottesville, Va.
