CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA (CVILLE RIGHT NOW) – Portions or our area are under flood warnings as people wake up Tuesday morning. Buckingham County around 7:15am was put under a flood warning until 1:15pm, replacing the flash flood warning that was already in effect. Local law enforcement reports flooding in the eastern portion of the county, including the Slate River at Arvonia which was above flood stage and slowly rising. Some roads remained closed due to ongoing flooding. Between 3 and 7 inches of rain have fallen.

Orange, Madison, and Culpeper counties are under a flood warning until 11:45 with the Robinson River at Locust Dale at minor flooding levels. Some locations that will experience flooding include Orange, Rapidan, and Locust Dale. Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring.
