LOUISA COUNTY, VA (CVILLERIGHTNOW.COM) – Some four dozen animals were seized from two Louisa County farms.
On the afternoon of August 16, 2024, the Louisa County Sheriff’s Office served two search warrants, one on a farm in the 7000 block of Parrish Rd and one on a farm in the 800 block of West Old Mountain Rd. Deputies have been called to these addresses previously on numerous occasions for stray, injured, or malnourished animals.
The condition of the animals on both farms have been assessed by veterinarians on multiple occasions since April of 2024, and only after several attempts were provided to the caretakers to correct the conditions, were seizures recommended.
Over 45 animals were seized by LCSO from the properties.
