RICHMOND, VA (CVILLE RIGHT NOW) – After receiving extensive feedback, Dominion Energy Virginia started this week sending out simplified bills to residential customers. A Dominion release says customers in Virginia and North Carolina are receiving the new billing format that “improves their experience, provides more information to manage energy use, and offers easy ways to pay their balance”.

The new layout adds color and introduces several new features that includes making the amount due and due date easier to find, colorful graphs breaking down customer energy use with help to understand how weather and other factors impact how they’re billed, and a QR code that offers a quick and easy payment option.

“At Dominion Energy, we’re always working to give our customers a seamless experience that matches their priorities,” said Corynne Arnett, Executive Vice President of Regulatory Affairs and Customer Experience for Dominion Energy. “Our new bill is simpler, easier to read, offers useful details and includes a QR code so customers can more easily pay their bill.”
