CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA (CVILLE RIGHT NOW) – There’s data showing our area is full of passionate Swifties. An AirB&B analysis of data shows Crozet tops the list, and Charlottesville is 6th in AirB&B bookings in European cities on dates Taylor Swift’s ERAs tour is there. AirB&B’s Haven Thorn says you might expect large cities to lead the charge, but the list is interesting… and the top ERAs tour destinations are generally the smaller cities.

Thorn says they call it “passion tourism” where the impetus of the trip is tied to a big event, but they’re staying a few more days enjoying local culture, sights, and cuisine. Searches for stays on Airbnb by Americans during European dates of the tour have surged nearly 70% compared to the same period last year.
