FORK UNION, VA (CVILLE RIGHT NOW) – A crash blocking Route 15 just south of River Road in Fork Union requires power to be shut off to some Dominion Energy Virginia customers in Fluvanna County, and a cooling center opened at the Fork Union Community Center. The Fluvanna County Sheriff says the crash call came in around 10 Wednesday morning and crews arrived to find power lines damaged, and diesel fuel spilled on the ground. Both directions of 15 are shut off to traffic, and the county has also set up pedestrian detours. The Fluvanna Sheriff, Volunteer Fire, and Emergency Services all responded to assess the situation and begin clean-up.
