CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA (CVILLE RIGHT NOW) – The Charlottesville Police Department (CPD) has received new evidence in the September 9, 2024, shots fired incident in the area of 2nd Street SE and Monticello Avenue.
Video footage from the area shows three individuals the department believes were involved in the shooting, which began at approximately 7 p.m. Two of the suspects were described by witnesses as males dressed head to toe in black, including masks, which the video captures, in addition to a third male wearing black pants and a white hooded sweatshirt.
Shell casings were located in the area, where several parked vehicles had been struck.
CPD is asking people who recognize any of the individuals, or have any other information related to the incident, to call Crime Stoppers at (434) 977-4000.
