BOULDER, CO (CVILLE RIGHT NOW) – Coach Prime is calling out UVA Coach Tony Elliott’s staff. University of Colorado Head Football Coach Deion Sanders in a video posted on his Well Off swag YouTube site calls out UVA for allegedly trying to lure Colorado defensive back Carter Stoutmire to Charlottesville. In the video, Sanders was addressing his players on the field after a spring practice and, in mentioning the portal, called to Stoutmire “Carter got offered bag”. He asked Stoutmire who it was, and Stoutmire answered, “Virginia.” After that, Sanders asked where the camera was and turned to it saying, “Virginia, you gotta stop. I let you have one, I ain’t say nothing about it! C’mon now… c’mon!”

After Sanders took the Colorado job, Stoutmire was part his first recruiting class, and is entering his junior season after appearing in all 13 games his sophomore season. Sanders has been one of the most active coaches building from the portal, though CU has lost more so far in the portal this year than they’ve brought in. They expect to have more to come, though. UVA is actively seeking players from the portal as well as a 10-day spring portal opening started this past Wednesday through April 25.
