Clarence was born November 12, 1937 to the late Austin Pan, and Lena McCauley Shaver.

Clarence is preceded in death by his parents, wife Sue Carol Shaver, Sisters Agnes, Luicelle Weakley, Francis Lowry, and Lottie Hurt, his Brothers Robert, Arthur, Joe, and Charles Shaver.

Clarence is survived by his sons Mike (Robin) Shaver, and Brian (Mary Lou) Shaver, his sister Lorraine Moyer sister in law Gloria Whaley, Yvonne Shaver, grandchildren Brittany, Chelsea, Heath (Ashley), Cole, and Leeanne, his great-grandchildren Makayla, Kynston, Tucker, Jasiah, Jori, Easton, Cash, and Loundon.

Clarence worked for the City of Charlottesville as a Firefighter for 33 years, drove a dump truck for Diggs, Inc., Clarence loved to hunt, most of all he loved spending time with his family, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren which all was the love of his life.
