On Tuesday, March 26th, 2024, the Lord peacefully called home his beloved daughter Clara “PeeWee” Henson Eubanks, from labor to reward. Born September 8th, 1952, she was the daughter of the late Broadust and Barbara Henson of Louisa and wife to Alexander Eubanks of Charlottesville. Clara was predeceased by many loved ones. Maternal grandparents Edward and Mary grooms, paternal grandparents Fred and Lucy Henson. A beloved mother and father-in-law Johnnie and Curtis Eubanks, as well as many nieces, nephews and in-laws.

“PeeWee” as she was affectionately known, was educated in the Louisa county public schools. Baptized at a very young age Foster Creek Baptist church, it was here that her love for God would be nurtured. She loved the Lord and made no apologies for it. Clara could often be found serving in many capacities throughout the church often while wearing any of her fashionable hats which she loved. Later after moving to Charlottesville, she would become a watchcare member of Pilgrim Baptist Church under the leadership of the late Rev. Dr. R. A. Johnson. She would later be ordained Deacon Emeritus and served faithfully until her health began to decline. Although best known for her high praise and enthusiasm in worship, Clara was also an anointed singer, proud homemaker and an outstanding cook.

Left to cherish precious memories, a loving husband of 53 years, Alexander Eubanks. From this Union were born two daughters whom she adored, Atanya (Harold) and Deronda Eubanks both of Charlottesville. A brother, Broadus Henson and a loving and devoted sister Linda (Glenn, deceased) Carey of Charlottesville. Her beloved grandchildren: Antonio, Tyshera, Daphne, Jasean, Juelz, Jakoree, Cam’ron and Jayceon all of Charlottesville. Aunts Alberta Coffey, Virginia (Mack) Ragland and Mattie Lee of Louisa. Uncles, Alfred (Marian) of Troy and Earl (Merry) Grooms of Louisa. A brother-in-law Edward (Barbara) Eubanks of Stony point. Also left to cherish her memory, a devoted goddaughter Pastor Tanya Richardson of Louisa. As well, godchildren: Wanda Turner, Francine Anderson, Tracy Jackson, Lamont Minor and Sheriece Minor – Boling.
