Charlottesville, VA (cvillerightnow.com): The heat wave is in full effect in Charlottesville with record high temperatures expected throughout the week.

As a result, the Charlottesville TomSox postponed two games in the early part of this week.  They were due to head up Route 29 to face Culpepper last night, before returning home to tangle with the Staunton Braves this evening.

Both of these games have been postponed, with the Culpepper game to be made up at a time to be determined, and the Staunton game re-scheduled for Monday, June 30th, at 7:00pm in Charlottesville, at CHO Airport Field.

As of now, tomorrow evening’s game at Casey Field in Covington will go ahead, and it will be Sox vs Lumberjacks at 6:30.  That may change due to more anticipated triple digit temperatures on Wednesday.
