Charlottesville, VA (CVILLE RIGHT NOW): The defending Valley Baseball League Champion Charlottesville Tom Sox announced their schedule for the upcoming season. After winning their fifth franchise title last season and bringing back Randy Tomlin for his second year as Head Coach, The Sox will get their year started on the road on the 30th of May against the Culpepper Cavaliers before returning home for a 21-game homestand throughout most of June. During that time, the team that won the Southern Division of the Valley League will host a team from the Northern Division in a non-playoff game, as the Winchester River Bandits come to town from a 1pm first pitch on June 1st. The Sox also have two dates with their opponents in last year’s Valley League Championship, the Purcellville Cannons, on June 15th and June 29th. The regular season will last until July 24th on paper, with the playoffs to run throughout July and into August. After the UVA Baseball season wraps up, visit CHO Airport Field at Charlotteville High School. The schedule in full is on the organization’s website at TomSox.org.
