CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA (CVILLE RIGHT NOW) – Charlottesville schools leaders and mental health professionals have met with a student who reportedly gave teammates handwritten notes at a Charlottesville High School weekend sporting event that referred to the murder recently of United Healthcare’s CEO. Principal Justin Malone sent an email to parents Sunday night saying the student also allegedly made verbal threats against CHS. Malone’s note said they would not discuss publicly any disciplinary actions or anything else about the case, but assures safety of staff and students is top priority. He closed, “we are glad the coach learned about this situation so quickly so that we could address it promptly”.
