After canvasing the area, they located an injured adult male sitting on the ground in the 100 block of West Main Street. He was transported to UVA for further evaluation of non-life-threatening injuries. Through further investigation and witness statements, it was determined that the assault stemmed from a dispute at the Haven over stolen property.
The dispute carried over to the street, ultimately ending in the 100 block of West Main Street, where video of the assault was obtained.
