CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA (CVILLE RIGHT NOW) – Charlottesville City Schools has announced a revised timeline for its elementary school rezoning process after an Advisory Committee meeting had to shift online due to inclement weather.
According to district officials, the Advisory Committee is set to meet in person by the end of January, at which time a rezoning recommendation is expected to be released.
An overview of that recommendation will be presented at the February 6 School Board meeting, giving the public an opportunity to learn more about the proposal. On February 11, a community feedback session will be held from 5-7 p.m. at Charlottesville High School, allowing for in-person comments, as well as written input via survey. The School Board is scheduled to discuss the recommendation further at its March 6 meeting, with a likely vote set for March 27.
