GLEN ALLEN, VA (CVILLE RIGHT NOW) – The Richmond area had an earthquake to go with eclipse day, albeit a weak quake. A 2.1 shake, felt as far south as Chester, rumbled around 9:45 Monday night which was about 6-and-a-half hours after the eclipse. The USGS plots the epicenter 3 miles north of Glen Allen, which makes it in the Elmont area of Hanover County.
No damage is reported.
