CHARLOTTESVILLE – (CVILL RIGHT NOW) – Charlottesville Area Transit (CAT), in partnership with the City’s Office of Sustainability (OS) has launched the Sustainable Transit Bus Wrap 2025 Contest. The initiative invites community members to showcase their creativity while promoting environmental stewardship and the benefits of public transportation.
The contest officially opens on April 22, 2025 (Earth Day) and is open to individuals aged 16 and older residing within 25 miles of Charlottesville city borders. Participants will have the opportunity to design a full-size bus wrap inspired by themes of sustainability, clean energy, and a greener future.
Submission Details:

Designs must be original and submitted using the official CAT bus template, available for download at www.catchthecat.org.

Entries must be submitted online at https://m.cmpgn.page/PWBGvF between April 22 and June 3, 2025.

Only one entry per participant is allowed.
Two winners will be selected:

One winner chosen through community voting from June 6–13, 2025.

One winner selected by a judging panel made up of CAT and OS representatives.
Each winning artist will receive a $750 prize, and their artwork will be featured on CAT buses for a minimum of two years, with artist credit prominently displayed on the vehicle.
