Carolyn Martin Gibson, 82, of Fishersville, Virginia died peacefully on January 13, 2024.

Born on January 13, 1942, in Charlottesville, Virginia, she was the daughter of Maybelle Shipp and Clarence Martin. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband William Harold Gibson; and her first husband Wilbur H. Fletcher.

Carolyn attended Fluvanna High School before marrying and having two children. She began her career in banking and bookkeeping and finished in advertising sales with radio and The Daily Progress. Carolyn enjoyed traveling with her husband and spending time with her family.

Carolyn is survived by her two daughters- Debra Hunt and her husband Gary Hunt, Teresa Davis and her husband Scott Davis; her sister Brenda Lucas and her husband Scottie Lucas; three grandchildren Daniel Davis, Jennifer Virbickis, and Norah Hunt; two great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
