Brenda Dale Hardman, age 73, of Charlottesville, died on Friday, June 7, 2024.

Born May 23, 1951, in Richmond, VA, she was the daughter of the late John M. and Virginia G. Hardman.

Brenda is survived by her sister, Lynn H. Clayton; her husband, Ron Clayton; and their daughter, Laura Clayton.

Operating under the business name, Bren’s Pens, she created lovely hand-turned wooden pens, Christmas ornaments, and other decorative pieces that sold at local craft fairs. She had worked as a veterinary technician at several clinics in the area over the years, and her love of animals, especially her beloved dogs, was a huge part of her life.

An accomplished draftsman, she worked at Gaston & Wyatt before her retirement.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that that memorial contributions be made to the Charlottesville SPCA at 3355 Berkmar Drive, Charlottesville, VA 22901.
