CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA (CVILLE RIGHT NOW) –  UPDATE 5/20 10:50AM: Charlottesville Police have arrested two in association with Monday night’s gunfire in the 800 block of Hardy Drive. CPD says officers on foot patrol heard the shots just after 8PM, and responding officers were able to find two adult males and recovered two handguns off them. They established a large crime scene and collected multiple shell casings.

Based on the investigation, 21-year old Tyshawn Davis-Lee of Charlottesville was taken into custody on multiple firearms violations and assault on a law enforcement officer after allegedly  kicking and spitting at an officer while in handcuffs. Additionally, 23-year old Priayer Emerson of Albemarle County was taken into custody on unrelated warrants. Additional charge  are forthcoming.

Charlottesville Police were at the scene of multiple gunshots heard shortly after 8 Monday night in the 800 block of Hardy Drive. According to a social media post, officers were on location when the shots were heard. There were no initial reports of injuries, but police remained processing the scene until late into the night.
