NELLYSFORD, VA (CVILLE RIGHT NOW) – Aqua Virginia is working on an issue that cut water off to customers in the Stoney Creek Village/Wintergreen area of Nelson County. Any water that customers in that community get from their faucets is attached with a “boil water advisory”. Any water for consumption or brushing teeth should be put to a rolling boil for at least a minute, then cooled before use. Water samples have been submitted to the a lab for testing and the company will advise customers when the advisory is lifted. A water outage was reported Wednesday morning and Aqua says it could be Saturday before lifting the advisory.
