Charlottesville, VA (CVILLE RIGHT NOW) – Today, September 10th, the Blue Ridge Area Food Bank (BRAFB) marked Hunger Action Day with a call to action. Les Sinclair, the Communications and PR Manager, spoke about the importance of addressing food insecurity. 

Sinclair emphasized the significance of the day, stating, “It’s Hunger Action Day, and you know our tagline is everyone should have enough to eat. We really, truly believe that.” He also highlighted the need in the community, sharing, “We are seeing more people than in the history of food banking. It’s really incredible here in our region.”

Sinclair encouraged the public to get involved, whether through donations, volunteering, or advocacy, highlighting that every action helps in the ongoing fight against hunger. With the demand for assistance higher than ever, the support of the community is vital.
