Anne Soyars Moore, 90, of Charlottesville passed away peacefully on Monday, February 5, 2024 at her home.

Anne was born in Reidsville, North Carolina on June 7, 1933 to the late John Albert and Ruby Estelle (Smith) Soyars.

Anne lived most of her life in Charlottesville where she was a founding member of Jefferson Park Baptist church. She worked briefly at Sperry Marine and 28 years at Sears where she approached her job like she did life, with a friendly smile. Some of her fondest memories were vacations with her sister Jean and her family along with RV trips to Dollywood with her grandchildren. She loved the outdoors, including gardening and long walks.

Anne was preceded in death by her husband William “Bill” Moore Sr, her daughter, Patricia Davis, two sisters Jean S. Apple and Lee S. Jones and two brothers Charles and Wayne Soyars.

Anne is survived by her son, William Moore, Jr., her grandchildren Scott Davis and Sarah Schuster and her husband Brady. Also surviving are her great grandchildren Jonathan, Bailey and Patrick Schuster.
