Alice Marie Howard, 67, of Charlottesville, Virginia died on June 3, 2024 at the University of Virginia Medical Center.

 

Born on May 14, 1957 in Albemarle County, Virginia, she was the daughter of Nathaniel L. Howard and Elnora T. Howard. She was preceded in death by both of her parents, long time partner, George R. Minor Jr and six brothers, Nathaniel Jr., Larry, Gary, Joseph, Richard and James Howard.

Alice worked at the University of Virginia Medical Center for over two decades, where she cared for patients with grace, honor and a smile daily. Alice was a social butterfly and would make friends with anyone at any place. Her generosity and loquaciousness will be greatly missed in the physical, but her spirit will continue to live on through everyone that she has touched.

She leaves to cherish her memory, two sons, George L. Minor and Lamont D. Minor, one daughter, Sherice A. Minor-Boling(Charles Boling), one granddaughter, Zuri M. Boling, three brothers Leroy Barbour, William and David Howard, three sisters, Juanita, Patricia and Sarah, a special niece, Emily Howard and a host of godchildren, friends and family.
