CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA (CVILLE RIGHT NOW) – As the area prepares for a winter-weather double dose, Albemarle Police Chief Sean Reeves says being prepared at home, and making good choices regarding travel will get you through. Reeves encouraging having winter kits for both your home and car. He says last January, we had some significant power outages out in the county and police, and fire-rescue responded to several calls for those in need.
The National Weather Service has checklists for both your home and car before the winter weather arrives you can find by clicking here. Col. Reeves urges you to have enough supplies in your home to get through at least a couple of days without electricity.
