ALBEMARLE COUNTY, VA (CVILLERIGHTNOW) – The Albemarle County School Board has named Rick Vrhovac principal of Henley Middle School and Christie Isaiah principal of Woodbrook Elementary School, both effective immediately.

Vrhovac, who had served as substitute principal this school year, will continue through 2025-26. He previously led Lakeside Middle and Monticello High. A search for Henley’s next principal will begin in winter 2025-26.

Isaiah was appointed March 13 following a hiring process that included a community survey and selection committee. She had served as Woodbrook’s interim principal since fall 2024 and was previously its assistant principal. Isaiah has 16 years of school leadership experience in Charlottesville City and Albemarle County schools.
