ALBEMARLE COUNTY, VA (CVILLE RIGHT NOW) – Albemarle County is asking for community input on the newly launched the Three Notched Trail Shared Use Path Master Plan.
The 24-mile trail will connect Charlottesville to the Blue Ridge Tunnel will provide area residents with safer and healthier transportation and recreation options. Over the next two years, the County and its planning partners will identify potential routes, prioritize segments, and build a shared community vision for the trail’s future.
A public meeting will be held at Crozet Elementary School from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on May 15, 2025.
The meeting will include four activities.
- Learn more about the project and timeline
- Explore maps and share their local knowledge
- Voice their ideas, needs, and concerns
- Help shape the trail’s route and priorities
The project is still in the planning stage, with no land purchased or trail built at this stage.
