CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA (CVILLE RIGHT NOW) — Albemarle County and Charlottesville Public Schools will be offering free meals to students on Wednesday, with both school districts remaining closed due to inclement weather.

Albemarle will be distributing meals at Greer Elementary School from 12-1 p.m. tomorrow, with the service available to students attending Greer, Woodbrook and Agnor Elementary, as well as Journey Middle School.

Each student will receive a free meal and snack, with family members who are also ACPS students as well as parents eligible to receive a meal as well. All students must be accompanied by a parent, guardian or adult over the age of 18 years old.

Charlottesville will be distributing meals at Charlottesville Middle School from 12-2 p.m. Families attending are asked to use the 9th St. SW entrance. Signs will also be posted to direct families on where to go.

Those arriving by car are encouraged to pull up near the kitchen door marked C3 and stay in their vehicles, as someone will come out to assist them. Those arriving by foot are also encouraged to arrive at the C3 door. Unlike Albemarle, meals will only be provided to current CCS students due to federal guidelines.
