CHARLOTTESVILLE (CVILLE RIGHT NOW) – Highland, the historic home of James Monroe, will kick off its celebration of William & Mary’s 50 years of stewardship later this month with the first in a series of lectures. Highland Executive Director Sara Bon-Harper will speak April 28 at 7PM about the historic house’s incredible story of rediscovery, the direction and ethos of initiatives at the site, and rich collaborations with the university community. William & Mary alumni chapter president Alison Dwier-Seldon said “Highland embodies the spirit of inquiry that is an essential part of the William & Mary community, and they’re excited about sharing Highland’s forward-facing view of the past.” Highland’s academic collaborations will be explored further in a series of virtual and in-person talks in September, October, and November 2025.
