FLUVANNA COUNTY, VA – (CVILLE RIGHT NOW) – An Internet Crimes Against Children investigation in Scottsville has led to the arrest of a Fluvanna County man.

On Wednesday, November 20, 2024, investigators and deputies from the Fluvanna County Sheriff’s Office executed multiple search warrants related to an investigation in the 3000 block of West River Road. The investigation began in conjunction with investigators from Johnston County, North Carolina. The effort was supported by assets from the Johnston County Sheriff’s Office, the North Carolina State Bureau of Investigations, the Albemarle County Police Department and the Louisa County Sheriff’s Office, all functioning as part of the Southern Virginia Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force.

Search warrants against Tyler Timothy Gregory, a 25-year-old male resident of Fluvanna County, were executed without incident. Electronic evidence was seized and Gregory arrested and charged with 1st degree statutory sexual offense, 1st degree sexual exploitation of a minor and 2nd degree sexual exploitation in the state of North Carolina. He is being held without bond in Virginia on a warrant of extradition.
