FLUVANNA COUNTY, VA (CVILLE RIGHT NOW) – Virginia State Police are investigating the death of an adult male in the Scottsville area of Fluvanna County. According to police, the Fluvanna County Sheriff’s Office alerted state authorities around 11 a.m. on Monday (Nov. 18) after discovering the man dead at his home. A 16-year-old male has been arrested and charged with First Degree Murder, Obstruction of Justice, and Eluding in connection with the case.

State police said the victim and the suspect knew each other, and there is no indication of a broader threat to the community.

The investigation is ongoing, and police have not released additional details at this time.
