Virginia State Police is seeking witnesses in a fatal Monday evening crash on southbound I-81 approaching the Route 250 exit.

That’s where a flatbed tractor-trailer, a standard box tractor-trailer and a 2022 white Dodge Challenger collided shortly before p.m.

The impact of the crash caused the Dodge to run off the left side of the interstate and strike the guardrail.

The adult male driver did not survive, with state police still in the process of notifying the driver’s next of kin.

There were no injuries for the other drivers.

The investigation continues with anyone who may have witnessed the crash asked to contact VSP by way of a phone number or email found in the story on our website.
