RALEIGH, N.C. – Virginia (8-7, 0-4 ACC) fell behind early and could not recover as seventh-ranked NC State (15-1, 3-1 ACC) defeated the Cavaliers, 93-66, Thursday night (Jan. 11) at Reynolds Coliseum.
The Wolfpack, who shot 48.5 percent from the field, had five players score in double figures. Virginia forward Camryn Taylor led all scorers with 22 points on 9-of-16 shooting and sunk a pair of free throws. Taylor has now led the Hoos in scoring in their last four contests. Thursday’s game also marked Taylor ninth consecutive outing with double-digit points.
Kymora Johnson also scored in double figures with 14 points on 6-of-19 shooting and had four assists. Alexia Smith led the Cavaliers in rebounding (9) and assists (6).
