GREENVILLE (WINA) – State Police are trying to identify another pedestrian struck and killed along the I-81 corridor in Augusta County. State Police’s Matt Demlein says this guy was walking northbound on Route 11 on the ramp to northbound 81 at Exit 213 at Greenville.

He was wearing all black clothing, non-reflective clothing with his back to traffic when a vehicle attempting to merge onto the interstate couldn’t avoid hitting him. The driver, who was not hurt, remained on the scene is will not be charged.

The pedestrian is described as a white male, approximately 5’8″ to 5’10”, and weighing approximately 145 pounds.  He is believed to be around 25-35 years old.  The pedestrian was wearing a black pullover hoodie, with black cargo style sweatpants and black athletic sneakers.  He also has a goatee as well as medium length brown hair.  He was only carrying a blue android style cell phone.
