RICHMOND (WINA) – Better watch your “P’s” and “Q’s” driving I-64 Thursday and Friday as State Police run Operation DISS-rupt the entire 299-plus mile length. State Police’s Corrine Geller says DISS is an acronym… D for “distracted driving”, I for “impaired driving”, S for “speed compliance, and another S for “seat belt safety”.

Troopers will be visibly out there, and an educational campaign is in full swing to ditch the distractions, don’t drive impaired, and obey speed limit and seat belt laws.

674 persons have died in traffic crashes on Virginia’s roads so far this year.
