CHARLOTTESVILLE (WINA) – Charlottesville High School classes are cancelled today, and questions arise if it was an outbreak of violence yesterday that prompted a shortage of staff today. The Schilling Show, as well as Courtney Stuart, have received word of multiple fights Thursday with police called in. Schilling then received a copy of an email a teacher sent after a staff debriefing that reads… in part… “this environment has certainly left me feeling depleted and physically unwell, and I will be out tomorrow to recover and rejuvenate so that I can return in healthy body and mind… that is what my students deserve.”
An inquiry sent by WINA News to spokesperson Beth Cheuk says she’s working on more information, and “we will be available today”… and asking any outreach to school staff be through her, or at least copied to her.
